Papertoy Monsters
Filed under: Toys, Books for Kids
Described as "paper airplanes meet Origami meets Pokemon," "Papertoy Monsters" is an amazing new paper-folding book that includes designs from 25 of the hottest papertoy designers from around the world, including Indonesia, Japan and Chile.
Made from card and paper stock, "Papertoy Monsters" features 50 adorably original punch-out paper designs that beg to be transformed into the three-dimensional monsters they were meant to be. Just punch out the shapes, make a few folds and add a little glue to create an army of creatures to reign over your fantastical monster kingdom.
Each monster has his own story, like Abagon, a humongous dragon monster from Tahiti; Heidi, who began her life as a dust mite in the sneaker of a young Bavarian girl; and our favorite, Icy Huggy, a friendly, long-bearded monster who lives in a cave on a mountain of ice in the Himalayas.
There are also bunch of blank die-cut templates in the back of the book, so you can design your own monster. And when you've built a few, visit the Papertoy Monsters Tumblr site and submit photos of your monsters.
Available at Amazon for $11.53.
