Bridget said...I haven't always been a morning person, but as I've gotten older and had kids, I find that it's not so hard starting the day a little early. To really wake myself up, I try to fit in my daily workout as soon as I get up. Then I follow it up with a tepid shower. I usually feel pretty refreshed afterward. But let's face it, I really do like the mornings when I can sit down for a few minutes, read the news, and sip some coffee before the day gets going in full swing. Nothing like some strong, dark coffee to make me happy!

Kim Hammerling said...I am woken up every morning by my 2 little boys - they come shuffling into my room and snuggle up into bed with me. If they do not get their snuggle time they get mad. :) Then I get up and have some coffee, sometimes tea. Have quiet time - then get ready for my day. There is no better way to wake up.

Karen Brougher said...Hi parentdish...I wouldn't call it a "trick" I have to waking up, I just make the coffee as soon as I get up and enjoy the smell of it brewing as I make breakfast for the kids. I believe they should eat something good in the morning, so that kind of gets me going a bit while I await my morning cup-o-joe!

Judi Gilbert said...I click on the computer, get the coffee brewing, take a shower, pour myself a cup of coffee, sit down at the computer to check emails and Facebook and world news while enjoying my coffee. Then it's time to wake up my daughter, make her lunch and off we go!!
The single serve would be awesome for me, as I only do have time for one cup of coffee in the morning and there would not be all that wasted coffee..
Cheers!!

Deborah DB said...I have so many things to get done in the morning but the best way to get a good start to your day is in some prayer and planing for your day with a huge cup of coffee. If you plan your day out and write down what you need to get done you can continue checking it off all day and you feel like you got a lot done. Anything left over gets carried to the new day. :)
