We would then have an egg hunt for the kids. I am super excited that my little girl will be participating in her first family egg hunt this year! She would love the Veggie Tales Easter pack :)

CRYSTAL said...We always make traditional heritage breads - hot cross buns for my English side and Houska for my husband's bohemian side. When the kids were little we also shaped roll dough into little bunnies and chicks. I would explain which family members the recipes came from and the history behind the breads. Of course the kids always helped with the mixing and the shaping.

Kristyn said...Our easter traditions started with the birth of our now 4 year old daughter. We wake up early and everyone participates in making a home cooked breakfast consisting of Pancakes, Bacon, Eggs, Grits and Fresh Squeezed O.J....Then we let her go around the house for her own personalized easter egg hunt. Afterwards we sit and watch The Ten Commandments, The birth of Jesus and all the other movies that come on the history channel!!!! :) Happy Early Easter Everyone and I hope I win the veggie tales basket so that she has something to watch instead of falling asleep on the "adult" movies :) (lol)

Donna P. said...My favorite Easter memories are of when my children were small and how we would dye eggs the night before Easter and leave them out for the Easter bunny. Just as we would leave cookies and milk out for Santa, we would leave out lots of carrots for the Easter Bunny. When the kids got up the next morning, the eggs would be hidden, the Easter bunny had left a note for each of the kids and all that would be left of the carrots would be the ends. The kids loved it!!!

Anita Roper said...My family's Easter traditions include purchasing new cloths, coloring eggs and then hiding them and later enjoying a big lunch.
But the part I love the best is getting up and going to my church's
"Son"rise service. Starting the day this way reminds me of Christ's
sacrifice for me and just how much he loves me.

Emily Walters said...Veggie Tales are awesome! Great for kids and I know that as an adult, I still love them. My favorite Easter tradition is the church egg hunt where all the kids come to see a play about how Jesus is the reason behind Easter and then enjoy an egg hunt at the park nearby. Always makes me smile to remember. =)
