Mariah Carey Names Twins Moroccan and Monroe

Continuing the unusual celebrity baby name trend, Mariah Carey and hubby Nick Cannon have named their twins, born in Los Angeles April 30, Moroccan and Monroe.CNN reports the famous duo are paying homage to relatives, a Hollywood legend and a room in Carey's home with the names.
Son Moroccan Scott Cannon will be nicknamed "Roc," according to the network, with Scott chosen because it is Cannon's middle name and his grandmother's maiden name. Carey reportedly calls the top tier of her New York City abode the Moroccan Room, and it's where Cannon proposed to her.
Daughter Monroe Cannon has no middle name, a Carey rep tells CNN, because the singer doesn't have a middle name. Her namesake is Marilyn Monroe, according to the network.
"It has been a long, emotional journey for this family, and I couldn't be happier for all of them," Cindi Berger, Carey's rep, tells CNN.
