Phoebe Prince's Bullies Apologize, Are Sentenced to 1 Year Probation, Community Service

Probation? Is this little girl going to reappear when their probation is up?, they ruined her life and inevitably led her to kill herself for that they should just be thrown into jail for life. They're not worth anything to society. Let their parents fell the loss eventhough it won't be the same to lose a child. They do not mean any of those words and are scripted by their damn attorneys to cry and show regret. They would do it all over again if given a chance. This country needs to slap some serious penalties against "bullying"because its grown way out of control. I don't care if people say "oh bullying is just natural" you are an idiot to ever say such a thing. Hurting someones feelings once is one thing but bullying them into a point where they take their lives SHOULD BE a criminal offence.

What they should say is IN ADDITION to that crappy sentence if they are found guilty of participating in any other form of bullying again they will be thrown in jail for 10 years,have their pathetic lives broadcast on a network specifically for those who they bullied to enjoy their misery and they have to clean all the toilets in the prison cells for their sentencing period.

I agree, I live in Great Neck NY and the parents and children are out of control. Money but no class. Arrogent spoiled and classless. Rude beond means and so entitled. I closed my very successful store and moved it to Manhasset. A totally diferent class of people. Not rude and demanding. it is like night and day. Parents are responsable for a minors actions. These girls are crying because they got caught. None of them are sorry. They should be reminded of their hate on a daily basis.

My condolences to the family of Phoebe Price. However, I disagree with these criminal proceedings. I find this growing trend in blaming someone else for a person's suicide frightening. Bullying is part of growing up, and I am disappointed to see kids teasing one another being elevated to criminal actions.

I too was bullied in my neighborhood by three members of the same family.I stood up to them trying to make it one on one but the two brothers beat me up and their sister along with them..the brothers held me while the sister who was very tall and looked like a grown woman. hit me..well I seen her at the high school the next day while walking down the hall.and she laughed in my face.I said to her she was nothing without her brothers and I beat the living daylights out of her one on one.as it should have been all along.well she never bothered me again and her brothers were ignoring me in the hall ways.word got around what had happened and I felt so proud of myself.my brothers taught me how to fight so that I can stick up for myself and it worked.I recommend teaching your children at any age to take self defense classes and to stick up for themself if you can't talk yourself out of the conflict.my heart goes out to the mother.I do agree with the others there should have been more of a severe punishment for the bullies.if my child did that to someone.your damn straight he had better be punished for it.and the news media will get wind of the punishment to show other bullies to think before they touch.

Phoebe Prince's bulliers got off way too easy. Probation and community service are just a joke to bullies, a sentence that most of them will serve and laugh off as a punishment for getting caught. As for Phoebe's survivors, they will have a lot of mean retribution to look forward to from the bullies and their friends, anything from telephone harassment to used sanitary pads and tampons on their front lawn. I know, because I am being bullied to, by store clerks and so-called neighbors on the South Side of Chicago.

How sad. Just shows how this country's legal system is changing. These animals are responsible for a young beautiful girls life and a years probation is all they get. This liberal judge should be recalled. Too sad for the family and I feel so sorry for them. The parents of the bullies hopefully cannot breed anymore idiots like these.
