Head lice cannot jump, they can only craw.

Heather said...I found the best way is after you wash the hair, use a flat iron or curling iron on every inch of hair and burn the eggs off.

Best advice on head lice is to know what to look for -- screen regularly, detect lice and nits early and remove them entirely.
The pediatrician is in error when she says any comb will do. Combs vary greatly -- just as policies vary from school to school. Make sure you have an effective combing tool and accurate information.
