Video: 'Sesame Street' Spoofs 'Spider-Man' Musical
Filed under: Funny Stuff, New In Pop Culture
"Sesame Street" always seems to have its finger on the pop culture pulse, and this funny preview of the kid show's newest season, set for September, takes a jab at the Broadway opening of the musical "Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark."
After a series of much-publicized delays, accidents and injuries, the comic book-adaptation opened June 15 in New York to lousy reviews.
"It is only our 17th opening night, sir," Grover tells the lone audience member in the "Sesame Street" spoof. "We still have a few kinks to work out."
Perhaps an appearance by our favorite blue Muppet would boost the Broadway show.
