Octomom Nadya Suleman Tells In Touch 'I Hate Babies'

In her latest media-making turn, Nadya Suleman, who grabbed global headlines in 2009, when she delivered octuplets, tells In Touch magazine she has some regrets.
"I hate babies, they disgust me," single mom Suleman tells the magazine, according to CNN. "My older six are animals, getting more and more out of control, because I have no time to properly discipline them. ... Obviously, I love them -- but I absolutely wish I had not had them."
CNN reports Suleman tells In Touch she often locks herself in the bathroom to cry.
"Sometimes I sit there for hours and even eat my lunch sitting on the toilet floor," she reportedly tells the magazine. "Anything to get peace and quiet. ... Some days I have thought about killing myself. I cannot cope."
As for money, according to CNN, Suleman's $300 overdrawn on her bank account, although the network says she reportedly has landed a gig on "Celebridate," an HDNet reality show.

JulieQ said...Why hasn't the state stepped in on behalf of the children?? Does she work? She's obviously in debt, how can she care for those poor children properly?? How awful that those babies have to suffer because she wanted some public recodnition. Congrats Nadya, you're now officially the poster mom for bad parenting. Did she even think that her kids will one day read what she said about them? What a mother.

Kristen said...I believe that this interview shows that she is in WAY over head and the state needs to step in. At this point she is purposely neglecting her children by locking herself in the bathroom. She states that her older children are wild and out of control due to her inability to parent them...........THE STATE needs to remedy this problem and take these children away from her and put them into proper homes with people who can care for them, feed them a proper meal and make sure they are being disciplined. This women has some serious mental health problems.

I feel so sorry for all those children. They deserve a lot better than what they're getting.

Amanda said...This situation brings to mind a line from that movie "Parenthood" where Keanu Reeve's character is talking about his own childhood. He says (some words substituted for family reading): "You know, you need a license to drive a car, to own a dog...hell, you need a license just to catch a fish! But they'll let any brain-dead airhead be a parent."
People like Octomom are a glaring example of that principle. Here's hoping that Social Services steps in and does something about this doof. I never thought I'd say this, but even foster care is better for those kids than to be used as a cash cow and subjected to her insults. They may be young now, but someday they're going to read what she said, and it's going to affect them. If she couldn't handle the six kids she had already, then she had absolutely no business breeding more!
