Last week, 3-year-old Malachi Sessions nearly drowned after falling into an above backyard swimming pool in New Haven, Conn. But quick thinking by 911 dispatcher David Mancini saved the boy's life.
"Today" reports Mancini gave CPR instructions over the phone, and the boy is now doing well, according to his mother.
Making faces and mugging for the camera, the boy and his mom met with Mancini for the first time on the news show.
"When it's an immediate threat to life safety, an immediate threat, that's kind of why we go to work," Mancini tell "Today."
