Yeah, we get jealous when we see the Madonnas and the Victoria Beckhams and the Jessica Albas of the world go from pregnant back to size 0 in what seems like a matter of hours.Now we have Thomas Beatie to add to our list. So, no Beatie isn't a super star celebrity, but the transgender man has made headlines for giving birth to three children.
And, now, the New York Daily News reports, he's gotten himself in post-baby shape that would even make Madge envious.
The Oregonian, 37, known in the press as Pregnant Man, has traded his baby weight for ripped abs, according to the newspaper, and E! reports it was done through a combination of diet, exercise and testosterone doses.
E! also adds Beatie is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Beatie, born a woman, has three children with his wife, Nancy, the Daily News reports. He says he does not plan to have a full sex change, according to E!, as he says he is legally considered a man already.
The Daily News reports Beatie had 10 years of sexual reassignment therapy, including chest reconstruction surgery.

pk said...Sorry, but that is NOT a man, it is a woman who wants to be a man, yet won't have the surgery needed to actually finish the job, yet wants to still bear children, and is probably afraid to say "I'm a lesbian". You can't have it both ways. In my book, that's one confused woman.

Aidan said...Do you KNOW what transgendered means? It means being one gender and identifying as another. So, yes, he is. You may be thinking of the term "transexual" which refers to someone who has already had gender reassignment surgery. Since transgendered males as of yet don't have a reasonable surgery (for a penis) most opt out. It could fall off. He has had chest reassignment which is what the majority of transgendered men I have known do. He is transgendered.

We have the honor of being close friends with a Lesbian couple who adopted their 4 foster children after the state took away the Natural Parent's rights. The children arrived in the middle of the night straight from yet another trip to the ER. THeir heads had been shaved due to lice, 2 had casts from broken bones, 3 had extensive medical histories including broken bones, ingesting meds and needing stomachs pumped, burns and 2 open heart surgeries. The father a MIT grad married his wife who had an IQ of 81 knowing he carried a genetic disorder that would pass to his children that causes mental retardation, autisim and mulitple physical issues including mal formed hearts. His explanation was he always wanted kids and Social Security would support them. His wife's parents just wanted to be done caring for their adult daughter who was incapable of caring for herself so having her marry and pump out kids was a "good" choice. Our friends have turned their lives inside out to accomodate these kids and give them a life free from filth, injury and abuse. Just because you can "Breed" doesn't mean you will be a decent parent!
