Yeah, we get jealous when we see the Madonnas and the Victoria Beckhams and the Jessica Albas of the world go from pregnant back to size 0 in what seems like a matter of hours.Now we have Thomas Beatie to add to our list. So, no Beatie isn't a super star celebrity, but the transgender man has made headlines for giving birth to three children.
And, now, the New York Daily News reports, he's gotten himself in post-baby shape that would even make Madge envious.
The Oregonian, 37, known in the press as Pregnant Man, has traded his baby weight for ripped abs, according to the newspaper, and E! reports it was done through a combination of diet, exercise and testosterone doses.
E! also adds Beatie is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Beatie, born a woman, has three children with his wife, Nancy, the Daily News reports. He says he does not plan to have a full sex change, according to E!, as he says he is legally considered a man already.
The Daily News reports Beatie had 10 years of sexual reassignment therapy, including chest reconstruction surgery.

I know if I were one of them I would have rather died while I was being birthed through my "Father's" vagina than to face life in such a Circus. Liberty said...UHM...I see everyone getting all scientific about what makes someone male and female, but what about those who have androgen insensitivity syndrome? They look like women--yet, internally, they are male (testes, XY, etc). So what are you REALLY trying to say? What bias are you really pushing forward in your narrow-minded comments? It's funny how so many of you keep referring to Beatie as "it" and "disgusting," without realizing that he is a human being with human feelings and a regular everyday life like everyone else.

Pam said...You my friend have made a very valid point. There are children born everyday with (sexual deformities), I use this term for lack of listing all such birth defects. At times the parents of these children must make a decision, based on doctors recommendations, as to what sex they will become. Sometimes there is just no other way around this. Then there are those who are born but can wait to choose for themselves as they grow up but what a horrible life that would be for a child. In my eyes in such cases choosing a sex is necessary. Having said all of this, I have found that the LGBTQ community likes to use these cases as examples of people being born gay, lesbian, straight, or other. When in truth they are born with a birth defect, period. Please don't jump on the band wagon and think that I am not tolerant of others, my son happens to be gay, I love him and am proud of the person he has become. So I do know a little about this subject. At some point in all of our lives we have to make choices, what we want to do, where we want to live, who we want to live with, what we stand for, and etc. It is a never ending task through out our lives of making one choice or another. We, in all reality, choose what sexual orientation we become, right or wrong. It's called life. It is ridiculous to say that all gay parents are bad, or all straight parent are good. Being a good parent is about unconditional love and sacrificing for your children. You are also right that we are all human beings and deserve to be treated as such. This happens to include Gays, Lesbians, Transgenders, Straights, and even a strongly opinionated Christian. There is enough hate in the world already we don't need to add to it. But it has to work for both sides of this issue.

Bob said...Abs?!? What Abs?? If that is your definition of ripped and or abs even, time for you guys to get a new dictionary. Go look at some men's fitness magazines or your local health club then you'll know what abs are, ripped ones even. Well I gotta admit it does look "ripped" as in something that has been torn vertically and then sewn back together. The results look very saggy, cellulite-ish and paunchy. Surely you have better stuff to write about than this!

She is a pregnant woman that has changed her physical appearance, that's all. She will be a woman until she dies. I can say I'm a cat. I can have surgery to make myself look as much like a cat a medicine can do, but it doesn't make me a cat. It's a fraud and a lie.
