The British government's recent warning that Santa may terrorize young children, in addition to all those kids who don't want to see him in the first place and those little cherubs who sit there clearly upset must have really gotten to old Saint Nick this year, because the BBC is reporting a Santa sighting at a pub in the the Welsh village of Gwynedd, drowning his sorrows in a pint.

A local group who sponsored the Christmas parade where Santa made a guest appearance has apologized after Santa stopped off for a pint, after some parents expressed their concerns that, "It was inappropriate for Santa to go into the pub and take off his beard in view of children." Apparently Gwyneddish parents are more concerned about their kids seeing a beardless Santa than they are concerned with their kids hanging around peeking in the windows of the local pub. Santa apologized, claiming that as soon as he realized children were looking in through the window he immediately put his beard back on. Young Jac Thomas wasn't fooled, however: "I saw his ears, and they were pointy, so I knew he wasn't a proper Santa," he said. "I guessed he was one of the elves helping out," he added.
