Seven Charming Looks for Your Lucky Little Leprechauns
Between warmer weather, our first peek at budding spring flowers and, of course, St. Patrick's Day, we're gaga for green.
When we think of the emerald color, especially on March 17, we're drawn to the luck of the Irish.
And, so, we must respectively disagree with Kermit the frog, who famously said it's not easy being green. See, we think it's as simple as finding a fun new T-shirt or onesie, a cute new pair of rain boots or stylish shamrock socks.
In honor of this standout shade, we offer seven charming styles for your own little leprechauns. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Helicopter parents, you may want to ease up on all that hovering when it comes to your kids: A new study shows your overprotectiveness may make your children more likely to develop psychiatric disorders.
Kosuke Narita and researchers at Gunma University in Japan scanned the brains of 50 20-somethings, and had them fill out surveys about their relationships with their moms and dads through age 16, New Scientist reprots. The Parental Bonding Instrument survey (PDF) included rating statements such as "Did not want me to grow up," "tried to control everything I did" and "tended to baby me," according to the magazine.
"Narita's team found that those with overprotective parents had less grey matter in a particular area of the prefrontal cortex than those who had had healthy relationships," New Scientist reports. "Neglect from fathers, though not mothers, also correlated with less grey matter."

In Style from Dusk to Dawn: We fully admit it -- we're feeling more than a little jealous of Salma Hayek right now.
Only the beautiful, talented Hayek could be this chic and fashionable as she walks with her daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault, 2, through the Los Angeles International Airport.
We're quite certain our traveling style has never come close to Hayek's, but now we have something to aspire to: A classic black sweater and white button down blouse tucked into lovely wide-leg jeans and topped with a sleek black coat (complete with leopard print lining). And, oh, the accessories! The black belt, black shades, black boots and black hat. Not to mention that sleek, straight bob.
And as classic as Mom is, Valentina is kid trendy cute. The fuzzy faux fur vest, cardigan, flowered top and light blue pants are darling.
See why we're jealous?

Woman Pregnant With Her Third Set of Twins
In The News, Weird But True, Twins, Triplets, Multiples
A set of twins is a blessing. Two sets? OK, we're getting into quite unusual territory here. But three sets? That's just crazy town.
Yep, Gezime Amer is six months pregnant with her third set of twins, all fraternal -- who will join her 12-year-old twin boys and 10-year-old twin daughters, the New York Daily News reports.
"God blessed me with the genes to have twins," the New York mother, 37, tells the newspaper. "They came to me all natural, too."
According to the National Organization of Mothers of Twins, just 15 of the group's 26,000 members have reported giving birth to several sets of twins, the Daily News says. And Ayman Shahine, Amer's gynecologist, tells the paper he's never seen anything like it in 20 years on the job.
Make Your Fetus Happy? Watch 'The Sound of Music'
Pregnancy & Birth, In The News
Hey, pregnant women: Want to make that baby in your belly bounce with joy? Cue the Julie Andrews DVD.
You see, researchers at Nagazaki University in Japan have found feelings of happiness or sadness can be passed from a mother to her fetus, and they used a clip from "The Sound of Music" to prove it.
The study involved showing 10 pregnant volunteers a happy five-minute clip from the classic musical, while 14 other pregnant women were shown a tear-jerking five minutes from "The Champ," New Scientist magazine reports.
"The women listened to the films through headphones to ensure that only the effect of their emotions, not the sounds, were being measured," the magazine reports, adding that fetuses can hear by the third trimester.
Celeb Clan Close-Up: Matthew McConaughey, Camila Alves and Levi

Yes, we get it: You are really, really ridiculously good looking. Credit: Ray Tamarra, Getty
Fashion Gold: Talk about your model families. Actor Matthew McConaughey ("Fool's Gold," "Tropic Thunder"), his love, supermodel Camila Alves, and their son, Levi, 20 months, personified pretty as they strolled through New York's Soho neighborhood recently.
True, we're used to seeing McConaughey shirtless on the beach -- and we're not complaining here -- but it's nice to see him all bundled up in the city, too. We like his newsboy cap and dapper jacket.
As for Mom's style? Well, we must say the "Shear Genius" host looks, well, genius. Chilly weather doesn't get in the way of her fashion sense: open-toed sandals, bare legs and a short purple dress laugh in the face of low temps. And that gorgeous mane of hers? We suppose when you're on a TV show about hair, throwing your tresses into a messy ponytail just won't do.
Then, there's little Levi. Rolled up jeans, hiking boots, adorable hat. And the sweetest face. But, really, what else would you expect with DNA like that?

Do your children constantly nag you for their own cell phones? From the looks of it, many parents are giving in.
A survey from Mediamark Research and Intelligence, shows the number of kids with mobile phones has almost doubled since 2005, according to a report from The New York Times. And while 21.8 percent of girls and 18.3 percent of boys are gabbing on their own phones, the boys are quickly narrowing the gap -- it's about half that of 2005, The Times says.
So, just how old are we talking here? The market research company says most of the children with cell phones were 10 or 11 -- 36.1 percent of kids in that age range had phones [an increase of 80.5 percent], The Times reports.
According to the American Kids Study, cell phone ownership among children is up 68 percent in the past five years. Most kids use their phones to check in with Mom and Dad, but they're also playing games, surfing the Web and texting friends, too.

Career Poll: Boys Motivated by Money; Girls? Not So Much
High salaries, raises, promotions -- all sound like things that would motivate us to excel at our jobs, right? Only, it seems those things are more important to teenage boys than girls.
A recent poll conducted by Junior Achievement and financial institution ING finds the sexes differ greatly when it comes to job motivation and tools they need for successful careers.
Just 38 percent of girls, compared to 56 percent of boys, say they need perks such as promotions or raises to excel at work, and 40 percent of girls say they do not need additional motivation to succeed [22 percent of boys feel the same way].
When asked what would motivate them to take a less than ideal job, the poll finds 67 percent of girls would want a higher salary, while 74 percent of boys say more money would make up for a less than perfect gig.
Lindsay Lohan Sues for $100M Over 'Milkaholic' Commercial
Madonna, Cher, Oprah and Beyonce may be on a first-name-only basis with the world, but is Lindsay Lohan?
The "Mean Girls" actress thinks so, and now the tabloid fixture is suing E-Trade, saying a baby referred to as "that milkaholic, Lindsay" in its new commercial is a jab to her -- and that the financial company should pony up $100 million for damages, the New York Post reports.
The Post says Lohan, 23, filed a lawsuit this week in Nassau County Supreme Court in New York over the commercial, part of a series of ads featuring talking babies that was first shown during the Super Bowl.
Lohan's mother, Dina, tells the Post her daughter sobbed when she saw the ad during the game.
"She said, 'Mommy, help me. This is wrong. How can they do this?' " Dina Lohan tells the newspaper.
