Make your own ice pack
Feeling thrifty? Make your own ice pack. Add one part rubbing alcohol to three parts water, then add a few drops of food coloring. Pour mixture into a plastic ziploc bag, then double bag it for safety. Mark it clearly so kids know it's not edible. The alcohol will keep the water from freezing, making it a perfect for scraped knees or sore ankles. Supervise small children closely while in use.
