Sarah Palin - Babies, lipstick, and politics {ParentDish}
Sep 25th 2008 10:50AM I coulndt agree with you more Rachel. Finally it can be seen that us women can do both. We can be a PTA mom and go to washington. We can raise babies and help run a country. It shows as a women we can be anything we want to be. I have two small daughtes and I hope one day they can look back and Thanks Palin for opening the doors up for them to be both a mom and an important role in the USA.

What is an Appropriate Age for Sleepovers? {ParentDish}
Feb 26th 2008 4:43PM I think sleepovers are great, at the right age. I think I went to my first sleep over that wasnt a family member around 12. With that being said, my mom always knew the parents. They were close friends and someones house I had visited numerouse times. While I understand the not wanting your kids to see certain shows ( and your list I totally agree with) for me that isnt a reason not to let her go. The age and the sexual pred. thing would be my reasons. I loved spending the nights with my girlfrieds, but I do think 8 is young.
Help! My 18 Month Old Doesn't Talk {ParentDish}
Feb 18th 2008 3:34PM My daughter will be 3 next month and has just now started really talking. She still doesnt say full sentences, but is on her way. When she turned 2 we started speech therapy twice a week and its been a heaven send. Her teacher is so good with her. I didnt hear my baby girl call me mommy until she was 2. I know how stressful it can be when you think something is wrong. While there is nothing wrong with my daughter, she was just a late talker.
Creating Space Indoors For Kids To Play In The Winter {ParentDish}
Feb 5th 2008 7:37AM Thats such a great idea. We do have a place in our basement as well that is unfinished, but one day will be a great play place for our daughter. Right now she is still to little and we need to get our own junk out of that room, but I have high hopes of one day having an awsome play room like yours for our kids.

Do you know why Poor Kids are Fatter? {ParentDish}
Jan 27th 2008 2:18PM Like you said...Bad foods are cheaper. We live on a tight budget, and I find myself struggling with what I know is healthy and right and what I know is not healthy, but very affordable. Im from Michigan and we have cold long winters. Its so hard to feed my family fresh veggie's and fruit. The area we live in only has one fruit market that stays open in the winter and sometimes we just cant afford to shop there. I try with every trip to get a good chunk of whole grains, fresh fruit and veggies. THings I know my family needs...but as the economy gets worse here and works gets slower for my husband I find us eating frozen fast and easy foods. We are not even close to being over weight, and I think that has alot to do with how active we are, but I agree. If the goverment could do sometihng about the cost of healthy foods, I think it would take care of alot of the obesity problems.
Mexicans Combat Sexual Harassment with Segregated Buses {ParentDish}
Jan 25th 2008 8:03AM Wow. I think thats wonderful. I have been on the end of unwanted negitive attention from a male before and though this was only for a moment, I cant imagine that those poor women had to endure it everyday. Thank God, their goverment stepped up for them.
Can't A Pregnant Mom Have Even One Cup of Coffee?! {ParentDish}
Jan 22nd 2008 9:17AM I never drank coffee before I had my daughter. Since then, Im like you and need the extra boost in the morning. I also babysit for 2 other kids during the day and well, the coffee is my crutch to get through the first few hours of the day. I did read this article yesturday and my thoughts are that no matter what it is in life, some Dr from somewhere is going to find something that is not good for you while pregnant. I did cut back on caffine this pregnancy. Im also an Pepsi addict, so I have tried to limit myself to 1 large coffee cup of coffee in the morning and 2 glasses of pepsi during the day (a big cut back of my non-preggo self). Our parents didnt worry so much about all these things and most of us..lol..came out fine. I just think there is more in life to worry about then how many cups of coffee I have. Next month you might read that 3 cups of coffee a day are good for you and then it might change again. I think everything is fine in moderation (with the exception of alcohal of course).
Halle Berry fears giving birth {ParentDish}
Jan 18th 2008 7:32AM I feel the same way. Im 19 weeks pregnant, and while I cant wait for my little baby to be here...I wish I could for-go the whole delivery process. My mother-in-law told me when she had my husband they put her totally under, that sounds good to me!! LOL
